FORMATION PROCESS

Our formation process aims to form leaders of the highest consciousness for the global movement towards living in harmony with Nature. Shamanism and ancestral traditions provide a unique and mystical way to form such leaders.

Authentic spiritual and philosophical practices inform our multidisciplinary formation process and ceremonial work. Through a weaving of traditions, we connect with sacred plants and spirit animals who guide us in their mystic knowledge, medicines, and virtues to awaken our highest human potential. Our process is overseen by the Medicine Team whose lives are dedicated to serving the medicine abuelos, the community and its global project.

What makes us unique?

There are many centers offering sacred plant ceremonies, however we aim to not only give you an authentic medicine experience, transmitted in the way our masters have taught us, but also to help you manifest your highest potential. Our process guides formation of a higher level of consciousness, to manifest projects for a new civilization.
Each feature of our formation process is illustrated through a medicine spirit we work with:

An Authentic Community Setting

Living within our community, which is based on traditional clan structure, provides fertile soil for personal development and transformation of consciousness. We learn to be adaptable and work through conditioning related to doubt and distrust, false masculine and feminine images, and conflictual emotions. Such confrontations are part of any transformational process, and we will accompany you throughout this profound personal work.

The Sacred Fire

The Sacred Fire

The Fire belongs to Life’s universal tradition and integrates our particular ancestral heritage. It can permit you to encounter ‘second (spiritual) birth’ and walk the sacred path as an authentic human being. The Sacred Fire unites the spiritual vision and practical application.

The Importance of Service

This Red Path spirit teaches us that by offering ourselves in loving service to the Fire, our dedication can benefit all beings. The Andean concept of Ayni also teaches us that reciprocation is the natural dynamic of Mother Nature; as we offer, we simultaneously receive. In the Vedic tradition, this path of devotional service is called Bhakti Yoga. Informed by these traditions, our formation guides us towards a new attitude of service to Life.

Sacred Plant Ceremonies & Personal Work

Those who wish to enter in formation with Teacher Plants begin an apprenticeship with the Abuelo Jaguar who is a principle guardian of the shamanic connection. He teaches us how to serve the Sacred Plants to enter into dynamic with life through our unique methodology, which includes profound personal work at service to the collective.

Transmutation of the Collective Subconscious

This spirit of the druid and other indigenous traditions has high taste and only seeks the most precious of nourishment. His medicine teaches us the potential of rooting below the surface to uncover the gems of our true identity. This unique ability allows for transformation from the source of our conditioned being, of both the collective and personal subconscious.

Investigations of the Mystic Arts & Sciences

In the ways of our ancestors, the Lynx is revered as a master of hidden knowledge and deeper truths. To gain an apprenticeship with the Lynx, one must learn to cultivate enthusiasm, humbly listen, and take personal initiative. Through integrating this sacred ethic, the Lynx and other ceremonial spirits guide us to discover the mystic connection behind many academic and creative fields.

Internal Formation Classes

A symbol of wisdom, the Owl teaches us to make keen observations and use intelligence to see beyond what is visible. Guided by this medicine, our process leads us to distinguish between different spiritual paths. With this clarity, we can have the skills that permit us to be a leader of higher consciousness.

Training to give community classes

You will have the opportunity to learn how to facilitate a dynamic of learning in groups, where all are united in moving toward the same goal. This medicine of circle consciousness is guided by the Abuelo Buffalo, whose strength is in the power of the herd’s stampede.

Men's and Women’s Circles

Our community often runs a process of Men and Women’s Circles to encounter our true identity within a collective brotherhood and sisterhood, as well as the healthy dynamic between them. This ancestral way of working helps us to integrate the masculine and feminine polarities in all aspects of life. The medicine of the Deer guides us in this process to the sacred heart of our personal relations, teaching us to be graceful, sweet and patient.

Couple Process

The Abuelo Wolf is a great teacher as he lives in the consciousness of his individual identity, dedicated to the greater good of his clan. He is also a master in the art of the couple, teaching loyalty and care for family. Our process highly values this medicine, because without authentic partnerships our unhealthy conditioning will be passed on to future generations. Whether you are in a couple or not, we help you examine the couple relationship to see how it can sustain your spiritual path and personal projects within a harmonious society.

Weaving Projects

The base of our formation process is to provide the strategy and resources to weave our personal destiny into the greater global project of humanity. This vision and capacity is guided by the medicine of the Spider who shows us how to distinguish the healthy web from the web of illusion, and align our creative potential with the Great Weaver, Mother Nature.

Our Formation Model

Our formation process is defined by various levels and criteria. We start with a trial period to see if the student and our community process resonate with each other. As everyone’s process is unique, the steps and length of time required to pass from one level to the next varies depending on the student’s dedication, understanding, and base of trust.

Requirements

In addition to our Community Requirements, there are other conditions to participate in our formation process.

Community Service
As loving service to Life is the goal of our process, all members of our community integrate this practice in their daily activity. Students will be included in service sectors as the foundation for cultivating a healthy attitude with Life, and as the possibility to apprentice in their areas of interest. Students must also be willing to help out in areas of collective necessity such as cleaning and cooking. Each level of formation has a required number of service hours.

Student Ethic
The ethos of our community is to assume our constitutional position as students in the apprenticeship of Life. The only Masters are those of our lineage and the Abuelo Spirits of the Sacred Plants and Animal Medicines. We do not impose our opinions on others in the false position of master. Instead, it is more important to discover together as students the living lessons from the invisible masters.

Trust and Confidence
In order to encounter real confidence in life and ourselves, we must find a place where we can open our hearts and have trust in our relations. Without this, there is no real formation. Therefore, a basic condition of our process is to develop a relation of confidence with the Circle and mentors. One should take great care to build a base of confidence step by step, not ignoring points of distrust, but rather seeing our present conditioning and how we can affirm our real being.

Long-term Formation Details

The next stage of formation is being a dedicated member of the Medicine Team. This requires case-by-case consideration.

"The medicine process was one of the deepest experiences I've had on my 2 year journey around the world. It makes you face your deepest truths, reminds you of who you really are, and what is most important to you. The community puts you at ease and you quickly become part of the family which is an integral part of the process. The community creates an environment for the medicine to work so uniquely, intensely and effectively. If you are open, spiritual or even come from a background of organized religion, the process deepens your understanding and opens your heart to the true essence of whatever path you are on. It is open to all people ready to face their true self.''  Danny, 28, Australia
