Our unique educational center, located in the heart of the old Incan empire, specializes in the formation of a new caliber of leader.

Through our community-led ceremonial process we are guided by the consciousness of the Sacred Wheel to connect with second (spiritual) birth; meaning to awaken consciousness of our true spiritual being, not conditioned by body consciousness of our first, material birth. We transform our relation with life to align with nature and awaken the seed of destiny planted in us.

Students are guided to realize the true meaning of human existence: to manifest the mystical reality of Life in a practical way on Earth, and through this service, awaken consciousness in others. Such a leader in the Andean tradition is called a Runa, and in the tradition of India, a Raja-Rishi.
“I have learnt that using knowledge in service to others is very important, and I will take that wisdom wherever I go.”

Philosophy & Principles

We base our center on the study of Life, observing and learning from Nature’s structures and dynamics which are common to all. The following universal principles of Pachamama (Mother Earth) are the heart of our formation center, process of study, and projects:
  • Life is One and Different, in that it is an inclusive, living whole which unites a multitude of unique beings, each with a personal identity
  • By distinguishing between our false ego and true ego, we can learn to recognize our real identity as a spirit being
  • The purpose of Life is to encounter our true relation as brothers and sisters with our Divine Mother and Father
  • All beings in Nature are family and to be treated with love and respect, not as resources to be exploited
  • The dynamic of Nature teaches us the principles of offering and collaboration, rather than egocentrical taking and soulless business exchange
  • No one person or organization is the owner of the global project; it belongs to Pachamama and all are welcome to participate in its manifestation
  • Leadership is a position of service and responsibility; it is not an unconditional right or position of power to exploit
  • Life is a process of continual discovery; it is not to be seen as perfect, but rather aligned with the perfect path of learning
  • In our path of awakening we need to live with Integrity, Truth, Humility, and Will
  • The Sacred Wheel can help us to live with a common purpose and structure, connecting with ourselves and our relations in a complete way

Teacher Plants

Picture
Unlike standard Ayahuasca retreats or healing centers, our approach to sacred medicine is based on awakening our unique human potential, at service to all life.

Sacred plant and animal spirits (referred to as "abuelos", or "grandparents") are present in the here and now to guide the awakening of humanity. Their potential is to help us recover authentic knowledge of life that has been lost through the material consciousness of our modern world. Through their teachings, we may also encounter the consciousness of our real being and our hidden potential.

Teacher Plants lead us on a path of formation to serve life in practical ways; through this path, we find that we are also healed physically and emotionally. As such the Plants are not energetic substances to exploit or misuse, but rather a sacred relation that guides us to the true meaning and utility of our existence.

The defining feature of our center is a profound formation process with these Sacred Teachers, whom we engage through community ceremonies, circle reunions, and spiritual practices. We integrate their lessons in the development of all aspects of our community and personal life. These practices have been transmitted to us by indigenous medicine people of North and South America.

To connect with the abuelos requires a basic condition: practicing the consciousness of the Sacred Wheel. We do this through applying a unique methodology in our work with the sacred teacher plants.

“Thanks to the special guidance given beforehand, I was able to develop a proper relation with Grandmother Ayahuasca. Everyone at the center has a beautiful connection with each plant-spirit and a profound knowledge of the arts and sciences of life.

‘’If you want to change your life, then this is the place to start. Here - more than anywhere else I've been - I believe people can find their true selves and true path in life.’’   Mark, 31, UK

Community Requirements

For the well-being of the community, we ask some basic conditions to be met during your stay:

  • Do not consume drugs (including marijuana) or alcohol, on or off the property. In order to be able to connect better in ceremony, we recommend cutting out all drugs and alcohol at least one month prior to arrival.
  • Follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. Our community is lacto-vegetarian; we do not consume meat, poultry, fish, eggs, onion or garlic. We recommend cutting out all types of meat from your diet at least two weeks prior to arrival, as it can significantly improve your ability to connect in ceremony.

In order to take medicine with us, we also ask participants to:

  • Consult us in advance if taking prescription medication. Many pharmaceutical drugs (such as antibiotics, anti-depressants, anti-histamines, cold and flu medicine, among others) can have an adverse reaction with Sacred Plant Medicine. Advising us ahead of time will ensure the safest way to approach the plants. We also advise women to stop taking the contraceptive pill at least six weeks before ceremony, as it can make it difficult to connect with sacred medicine and Mother Nature’s cycles.
  • Do not take sacred plant medicine with other people while taking medicine with us. This allows you to experience our medicine connection in a complete way, without introducing other, potentially confusing elements.
  • Commit to the duration of your program without interruption (e.g. social or touristic trips). Again, this allows you to experience our medicine connection wholly, without introducing distractions or potentially confusing elements.

Payment and deposits related to programs:
Once registering for a program, you may choose to cancel and receive a full refund of your deposit providing the two following conditions are met: 1) the cancellation is done within 24 hours of registering online and paying a deposit, 2) the cancellation is made at least 14 days before the start date of the program. If you request a cancellation and refund with less than 14 days of the start date of the program, you may contact us and we will consider your request based on individual circumstances. However, there is no guarantee of a refund within that short time period.
Please note, that otherwise all deposits are non-refundable (with the rare exception that we cancel on our end). We require you to complete the full payment on arrival to the community, before commencing your program. If for any reason you need to leave the program after commencing it, we regret that we cannot refund any part of your payment.

Medicine Team

We serve medicine and live together in a community, a unique attribute which was common to many traditional cultures. Our founder initiated this work two decades ago.

Our medicine is served by teams rather than by just one person, made up of members from around the world with years of experience working with the masters of our traditions. All medicine team members have received formal initiation at different levels.

Our medicine people have studied and practiced in traditional shamanism, cultural and religious studies, philosophy, community development, education, bio-chemistry, professional art, music and dance, artesania, eco-construction and tipi making, natural agriculture, engineering, astrology, Feng Shui and Qi Gong, and more. This breadth of knowledge enhances our community’s ceremonies and classes, and your experience with us.
