SHAMANISM

Shamanism is the religion of Mother Nature and is the cultural inheritance of all humanity. It has existed for millennia in various traditions from around the world. Although originating from indigenous culture, shamanism is not limited to the indigenous worldview, but is a vision common to all people in their relation with Nature.

Regardless of its cultural manifestations, the essence of shamanism is to observe Nature in its basic structural pattern: the Sacred Wheel, also known as Cosmovision. The Sacred Wheel sees life as complete and perfect — one inclusive being that integrates diverse identities.

Shamanism & Leadership

The medicine person - or shaman - has always been a leader in their clan, one who looks after the spiritual wellbeing of their people and unites them in a common vision. The path of the shaman is a lifelong calling and commitment.

Medicine people use mystic, ritualistic practices to access the invisible world, which is comprised of sacred archetypes, structures, laws and dynamics. Shamans bridge visible and invisible planes. By bringing a complementary dynamic between these opposites, they may be guided by Mother Nature to care for her people, and awaken them to their true purpose and identity.

Traditional shamanic practices include: sacred plant ceremonies, sweat lodges (Inipi and temazcal), flower baths, tobacco purges, herbal remedies, special plant diets (dieta), coca readings, shamanic drumming, chanting circles, vision quests, initiation rites and ceremonies (lunar, birth, marriage, death, etc.), fasting, austerities, yoga, astrology, clairvoyance, and many others.

Through the medicine person, the mystic science of shamanism can inform authentic leadership and inspired projects, at service to humankind.
Our work is founded on shamanic principles of the Sacred Wheel which we connect to through the Sacred Fire, Circle, and authentic ancestral traditions.

This permits the safest conditions to walk the shamanic path, providing each with their own opportunity to connect with Life and encounter their highest potential.

Ayahuasca & Sacred Plants

We consider Sacred Teacher Plants as elders, or grandparents (“abuelos”), who serve Divine Mother. They awaken us to our relation of love with her, motivating us to serve Life at our highest potential.

Each abuelo is unique in their medicine, wisdom, and ways of teaching. They work together in harmony, guiding us to our particular service to Life through a practical project. As we center on our process of leadership formation, the Sacred Plants simultaneously heal us at a spiritual, psychological, emotion, and physical level.

Our main shamanic practice is that of Sacred Plant ceremonies. Over the many years of walking this path, we have received authorization from medicine people in North and South America to work with the following Plants:
Grandfather Tobacco
His medicine has been valued in many cultures and traditions but especially the Red Path of the Americas. He helps us to connect to the Sacred Wheel, send our prayers to the Great Spirit and establish us in the healthy weaving of our relations.
Mama  Coca
An indigenous plant of South America, Coca has been used for centuries to connect to Pachamama and Pachacamac. She helps us to enter into a circle dynamic, and encounter clarity in our collective and personal process.

Grandmother Ayahuasca
Originating from the Amazon, Ayahuasca shows us our conditioned, subconscious relation with Life at the collective and personal level, so that we may transmute it for a healthy, happy, and useful life.
Grandfather San Pedro
This Plant is native to South America and is traditionally known as Huachuma. His medicine guides us to the clarity of the warrior heart in our path of truth and transparency, helping us encounter direction for our lives.

Grandfather Peyote
A traditional medicine of Mexico and the United States, he is the brother of San Pedro, helping us connect to the sweetness of the spiritual heart.

A Secure Approach

We see that Sacred Plants must be respected for their essential purpose related to encountering our true path in Life. If they are exploited as a drug or as a means to escape, we cannot receive their real medicine.

We take our service to the Sacred Plants seriously by working with authentic transmission from masters, an established methodology, and safe conditions. Our programs guide people to work with plant medicine in a respectful and valuable way.

‘’This is an incredibly safe and well-held space to encounter a relation with the sacred plants. There is a huge emphasis placed on the circle and collective lessons, the encountering of a personal relationship, and a path of service. All these elements helped greatly with the integration and potentiality of these plants as medicine.’’  Caitlin, Australia
Authenticating the Work
To ensure authentic practice with Sacred Plants, we are dedicated to forming a council of Medicine People who can ensure that those who work with plants do so through a traditional lineage, and are at a sufficient level of formation to give medicine at a high standard.

This is essential because today, Sacred Plants are often misused by both those giving and receiving them. This can not only lead to dangerous consequences, it is a misrepresentation of sacred traditions.
